BLOG UPDATE: County Line Road Improvements Update

County Line Road Improvements Update

I recently received the information below from Rep. Todd Stephens regarding the County Line Road project being done in connection with the new Rt. 202 Parkway project currently underway.  If you haven't heard about the planned improvements to the roadways, read on!

The work is part of PennDOT’s $13.5 million project to widen County Line Road from two lanes to five lanes between Route 202 Doylestown Road and Stump Road.

Crews are widening 2.1 miles of County Line Road to include two travel lanes in each direction and a center turn lane and two five-foot shoulders. They also are installing concrete sidewalks, new traffic signals at Route 202 and Summer Ridge/Horizon Drive, and sound walls at the Summer Ridge and Gwynmere housing developments.

In addition, the contractor is building a new intersection to connect County Line Road with the new Route 202 Parkway. The Route 202 Parkway approach to County Line Road will have two travel lanes in each direction, left turn lanes, a southbound right turn lane, and a bicycle lane on the southbound side of the new Parkway. County Line Road will have two travel lanes in each direction, right and left turn lanes, one five-foot shoulder, and one four-foot shoulder on the southbound side that will tie into the Parkway’s shared-use path.

As always, I welcome all real estate questions and comments.
